Japan and South Korea provide aid to Vietnam affected by Typhoon Yagi.

 

(VOVWORLD) – According to the announcement by the Japanese Embassy and the Korean Embassy in Vietnam on the 12th, the governments of both countries have decided to provide emergency relief supplies to support the recovery from the damage caused by Typhoon No. 3 “Yagi,” which struck northern Vietnam.

Japan’s assistance will be carried out through the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), providing plastic sheets and water purifiers. Prior to this, Prime Minister Fumio Kishida sent a telegram of sympathy to Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh. In it, Prime Minister Kishida emphasized that the Japanese government always stands with Vietnam, ready to support overcoming difficulties, recovering from the damage, and ensuring the early stabilization of people’s lives.

Meanwhile, the South Korean government also announced its decision to provide humanitarian aid worth 2 million US dollars. This assistance aims to support the recovery of the affected areas and help the victims of Typhoon “Yagi” return to their daily lives more quickly.
